Hi Mack. Good luck with that! And from what I hear, Mike Calvo seems to be
doing a great job with his Freedom Box Network. I wasn't to impressed with
the Freedombox when it came out, because as Jonathan stated on a Main Menu,
that it was more for a beginning computer user; but I've since heard a
review of Freedombox 2.0, that he did, and I am more impressed with it! I
guess you can burn a Key to Freedom on a disk, if your a Freedombox user,
and then put the disk on another computer, and be able to use that computer.
Then after you remove the disk, no one is the wiser, because it doesn't
leave a trace on the other computer!

Gary,
I think we have to remember that our ranks are growing, daily. On a local basis., I am constantly working to bring accessibility to people who need it, but don't have the faintest idea how to go about getting it! But, enough of this; I need to do what I just said, namely, get busier researching this issue, rather than talking about it! That having been said, I will sign off and go back to my "Woodshed"!
Thanks,
-Mac-

Hi Mack. Well it comes down to everything to do with accessibility! When I
first bought a computer, I thought that it was a shame that screenreading
software should have to cost so much, but I just bit my nails, and realized
that there just wasn't enough of us out there to lowere the price of such
software, but that's what I've realized when I got involved with this
process!

Gary,
That is exactly what I have been talking about, in my recent posts! It is
a
critical chore to have to gather all of the info, that is needed, to
communicate exactly what a particular problem is, isn't it? I believe we
are all way too busy to do much of anything concrete, with the exception
of
talking on these lists! That must be what so much of the diversion
tactics,
of the present administration, are all about!
Thanks for your thoughts!

I think that if we want things to be accessible for us, we're probably
going
to have to be involved in the process from the ground up!

Hi:
Glad to see this kind of progress, Hope to see gmail verification method become usable. I'm waiting, have an invite, but can't use it to join gmail. I wrote them a message, and got onewhere it was obvious they didn''t read the message.
As far as I can tell, google is going for the most unaccessable company from the point of contacts and accessability.
They are to proud!!! Hope we can get more attention than juust one person, we'll need it.

Darrell Shandrow makes a huge leap with Podshow at the Podcasting conference this weekend. On today's Daily Source code Adam Curry mandates a "accessibility effort" with podshow HQ. Direct access will be given to the bugzilla database to track accessibility issues.
All I have to say is, great job Darrell!!!
With Andrew G also joining podshow, this is nothing but awesome! Expect
to
see changes folks.
Thank you Adam, your awesome!
Darrell may also be on TWIT this week with Leo. Let's all hope Leo has a good contact with Google and Yahoo to make a difference. Darrell did speak at length with Yahoo at the conference and it looks like they have a better understanding of issues surrounding accessibility.
Jeff
Darrell,
Such efforts are apppreciated by all. I hope you can spread the message
about accessibility on TWIT also.
whatever comes from this, good job!
