Hey Chase, Is it ok if any game or software you develop for the Icon once you learn Python, may I port those over to the PAC Mate and Smartphones?

How awesome! I saw the Icon at CSUN! I am looking into developing games
and
stuff for those devices so keep a watch out for that. Can you beta test
and
let me know if they work for you? I'll let you know when I am ready for
a
tester! And, those games are at http://www.freedomscientific.com under
downloads then go under notetaker update and look for classic notetaker
updates on that page. Once you download the setup file and extract the
files
somewhere, copy the bns files you want using Windisk to your unit and
run
them on the Braille 'N Speak. HTH.

Thanks for the tip! Yes, that is how I was running my BNS file's. I
would
run the
Simon and Simon Seven games on my Braille 'n Speak. Do you know the
URLS?
Yes, the games for the pacmate omni are cool! I I'm not going to get
one
now, as I
am happy with my stable Linux PDA that I have. Are the games on Braille

Soft going
to run on the Icon and Braille Plus, which I am using?
I'm not sure if these games are off topic for this list or not, but they

don't seem to be.
This list doesn't seem to be moderated.

To run the .bas file you need to type o-chord, X, run followed by a

followed by the name of the .bas file you want to run. E.G. to run
Oregon
Trail type o-chord, x, run oregon trail then press e-chord. Wait a few
seconds and the game will start! Also .bns files are actually external
programs. Point to a bns file and press o-chord to run it. And no, Simon
and
the other games demonstrated on the URL you gave are NOT supported on
the
Braille Lite M20 due to the hardware it uses. They'll only run on
classic
Braille 'N Speaks and Braille Lites. Have you ever considered upgrading
to
the PAC Mate Omni? Check out the games they got at
http://www.braillesoft.net/pacmate.htm! And for more info, you can look
at
http://www.pacmategear.com. HTH.

Yes, I have win disk and unzip.bns. I unzipped all of the .bas files,
but
when I tried to open them, I got a ton of gibber jabber, which is
extremely
annoying! It is very strange. Also, those other .bns files that you
could
unzip always would hang on me. I would type in a filename, and it would
just freeze. Just encase you are wondering, I am using a Braille Lite
m20,
running the last released version of firmware.
Do you know anything about the Simon or simon7 games that are
demonstrated
on:
http://www.aph.org/tech/bns_info.mp3
?
Thanks!

Hi. Do you have Windisk installed on your desktop? If you don't then
BrailleSoft has it along with the other downloads you need. You need it
to
transfer the games from braillesoft.net to your Braille 'N Speak along
with
Unzip.bns. If you have more questions just ask. HTH.

I posted, and nobody answered, so I was just curious. Here is the
question
that I posted:
Hello:
I just subscribed to this list, so sorry if this has been covered. I
have
had a Braille Lite for a while, and I just received a Braille 'n Speak
Scholar from the American Printing house for the blind. This is the
only
list that I could find for the Braille 'n Speak, Type 'n Speak, Braille
Lite, and Type Lite. If there is another list, please let me know.
So, I listened to the APH audio overview of the Braille 'n Speak Scholar
and/or other Braille 'n Speaks, and they were talking about games called
Simon, Simon 7, and Hangman. I would like to get these games for my
Braille
'n Speak/Braille Lite. Where can I get these games? I have tried the
games
from:
http://www.braillesoft.net/
and they won't install on my unit.
Thanks:

Hi.
Is this list still active? I have tried to ask a question on this list,
and
I have not got any answers. I'm going to just assume that this list is
no
longer used until I get a reply.
