Wow, that's interesting about the message in the book.

Actually, we are still doing Harper Collins books. I think bookshare staff said
that they were going to keep both publisher quality and volunteer produced
books. So, your good work won't be in vain.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] question about HarperCollins book

I just downloaded "Shifting: The Double Lives of Black Women in America" to
validate. But on the copyright page I just noticed that it's a HarperCollins
book. Do I do it anyway? Are all HarperCollins books available as PQ books on
Bookshare? There's a personal inscription in the book (not in handwriting) that
says: Inscription from the author: To the Users of Bookshare.org--May you find
ways to fulfill your dreams and to help create a better world---Kumea
Shorter-Gooden

Does that mean it IS one of the HarperCollins books I've been hearing about?
It was just downloaded on April 25.

Advice anyone? It hasn't had its headers removed, I just had to change all
the quotation marks, it does have scannos. I just don't want to do unnecessary
work if I'm not supposed to do HarperCollins books.

  Thanks,

  Devorah
