All I know is that I suggested that there was a book that was duplicated--one
copy was a scanned book and the other publisher quality. It happens to be a
Harper Collins Book, though I don't know when it got there. Carrie said that
the scanned version is staying there because so far these books can't be
converted into brf files. (Correct me if I'm wrong on this.) However, I also am
unable to read it because it comes up empty text. Oh, let me say that another
way. I can open it with Windows Explorer though I did not request its
conversion to .html. I had just asked about that book a while ago and left out
that information.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] question about HarperCollins book

I just downloaded "Shifting: The Double Lives of Black Women in America" to
validate. But on the copyright page I just noticed that it's a HarperCollins
book. Do I do it anyway? Are all HarperCollins books available as PQ books on
Bookshare? There's a personal inscription in the book (not in handwriting) that
says: Inscription from the author: To the Users of Bookshare.org--May you find
ways to fulfill your dreams and to help create a better world---Kumea
Shorter-Gooden

Does that mean it IS one of the HarperCollins books I've been hearing about?
It was just downloaded on April 25.

Advice anyone? It hasn't had its headers removed, I just had to change all
the quotation marks, it does have scannos. I just don't want to do unnecessary
work if I'm not supposed to do HarperCollins books.

  Thanks,

  Devorah
