Hi Valerie!

I appreciate how you are working so hard to bring books up to excellent quality by doing these BSO's when they need it.

Dear Evan, Mayrie, Cindy and all the others responding;

I think in each case I feel strongly that I can add or improve something else that might still be overlooked, such as the presentation of the poems, so knowing that is an appropriate use of BSO, I think that is the route I will go. These are al books I own and will then donate to others or our library so they can have more love and use by more readers after I am done.

Thanks everyone for being a good sounding board!

Valerie

After seeing a few examples, I can definitively say that the books produced by outsourcers that I have read were not read through before being added to the collection. They may be well scanned and spell checked, but a scan that has been read through will always be of better quality than a book that hasn't been, no matter how good the scan or how thorough the spell check.
