Well, all I can say is here's a health to all picky people everywhere, particularly those who choose to be meticulous about books. If we care about what we do, then we want what we do to be correct insofar as we can make them so. Regards, Kim. P.S.: That being said, don't get ulcers, become stressed out, or lose sleep in pursuit of high quality stuff if you can help it. Hi Valerie, I strongly agree with what Mayrie says below, most especially if you plan on reading the book before you submit it. After seeing a few examples, I can definitively say that the books produced by outsourcers that I have read were not read through before being added to the collection. They may be well scanned and spell checked, but a scan that has been read through will always be of better quality than a book that hasn't been, no matter how good the scan or how thorough the spell check. So while what Roger says about books being replaced fairly quickly after submitting a quality report may be true, if it is done by one of the outsourcers, the replacement is not going to be as good as a BSO that has actually been read through. And, as I said before, if you think the book needs picture descriptions, all the more reason to do the BSO yourself if you want to ensure that it is of the highest quality.
