Lynn, I'm embarrassed to ask this question because I have a feeling it's something I should have known a long time ago, but can you tell me exactly what I need to do when reading a book in order to find my place when I go back to the book. I find that the command function doesn't work either when I put in a word or try to get it to find particular page numbers. I have a feeling there is something I need to know about placemarks. This is why I love the BrailleNote; it picks up where you left off, and if not you can use the find command even in the Book Reader application. TIA. Hi Jill, I'm not sure if this will be helpful or not ... but here is how I read Bookshare books on my Braille display. I download the book in DAISY format. When I unpack the book, I use the option available on Bookshare for an HTML version of the book. I believe it's designed so that those without Victor Soft, FS Reader, and other such applications can read them.After I unpack the book, I highlight the HTML file, open it, and do a "Save as". From there, I save the file in text format. However, you can, if youchoose, just read the HTML file, itself.You should be able to read it in Grade I or Grade II Braille, whatever yourBraille Display is currently set to read in.I don't use the BRF files because it hasn't been necessary. I know you canunpack books directly into Kurzweil or OpenBook. There are many ways toaccomplish the same objective.
