That was how I was taught to cook rice. First you measure, then you wash,
and then you put to cook with seasonings. *G*

Hi all,
There is a family legend which I cannot corroberate which tells of my
grandmother making Baklava (sp) from scratch and rolling out the pastry on
the dining room table. By the time I came on the scene, she'd quit doing
those amazing things, but she spent hours in the kitchen making the most
delicious stuff. She was truly amazing and very, particular about
everything she cooked. She even washed rice before she cooked it.
