There are now tools out available in scanning packages such as Kurzweil which were not available several years ago. These tools make producing a better scan easier and far more possible for folks.
I think bookshare, or the volunteers perhaps in a more unofficial way, need to show folks how to use these resources to create great submits.
We can create better books for the general collection than was possible when I joined as a volunteer over four years ago.
