HI Cindy, Remember that the decision we made to use three asterisks came from long discussion of the issue years ago. This was the preferred solution as per input of many users then. And this is what is done often in print books. I'm sorry we can't please everyone all of the time, but we never will, and changing something that is working and has been for years seems counter productive to me. Just my opinion. Right. I'm doing that, and have been doing that, but I was wondering if it might be less annoying to people if instead of asterisks we wrote [blank lines, or [empty lines, or [white space] the way we write [blank page] when there is one. Some books I've proofed lately has so many sections separated by empty space--blank lines; it was just a suggestion. Maybe reading the words would be just as annoying as reading/hearing so many asterisks. smile Cindy --- On Sat, 5/28/11, Mayrie ReNae <mayrierenae@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > From: Mayrie ReNae <mayrierenae@xxxxxxxxx> > Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: asterisks white space? > To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Date: Saturday, May 28, 2011, 11:37 PM Hi Cindy, > > Remember that blank lines are removed by the conversion tools.
