No, Fatima, you don't get a notice. They are just replaced.

Do you get a notification if your book is replaced by a PQ version or
is it just something you end up finding out?

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] another Gregory Spatz novel was just
submitted to Bookshare "No One But Us" (1995)

Happy Monday, everyone!

Yes, they come in batches, these Spatz submissions. Why not? <g>

Details are below.

Thanks to all who have been working so graciously and patiently with me
on my scanned book submissions.

I was disappointed to lose my recent McGuane approved book to PQ. But
that is where the ball does bounce once in awhile. And I accept this
policy. It does yield us a huge amount of books, these agreements with
publishers. I’m resolving to not scan too many new books so as to try
to be most efficient with my volunteer time.

ISBN: 1-56512-037-X
COPYRIGHT: ©1995 by Gregory Spatz
TITLE: No One But Us
AUTHOR: Gregory Spatz (1995)
PUBLISHER: Algonquin Books
DESCRIPTION:

With his mother in the hospital after a botched suicide attempt,
fifteen-year-old Charlie goes to live with his mother's best friend,
twenty-six-year-old Jolene. Somewhere in the midst of tickle fights and
hugging and joking around, Jolene's guardianship of Charlie unravels,
and soon they are both irrevocably lost in an affair that neither one
is ready for, but that neither one is ready to resist. "A sharp, witty
first novel."--Playboy; "A promising debut."--Publishers Weekly.

VOLUNTEER COMMENTS:
This first novel by author Gregory Spatz (1995) was scanned using
K-1000 version 14. It was formatted with Bookshare standard page
numbers, font set to 12 point regular, and the headings, which were not
chapter numbers but chapter or section titles set to 16 point bold.
Page numbers do not begin until the novel starts. I did not insert any
pre-page numbers. Ranked Spelling was used to 100 percent, and I
deleted whatever scanos I did find. I have the first edition hardcover
and have the image kept .kes file should we need to investigate
anything in the text. Please contact me at this email. d28rik at msn
dot com.

The book contains some graphic descriptions of sex, which you might
guess from the Publisher Weekly description. Language not strong. It
was not flagged for Adult Content when it was uploaded and analyzed.
But I did use the check box for Adult Content. That is your mostly your
call, If figure. Probably most of us may feel it not suitable for the
young readers.
