I'm willing to go back to parentheses, but did you see what was in the Bound by 
Books newsletter that Lori  included in her post? It wasn't my idea to retain 
superscript numbers for footnotes; it was what I remembered reading. If it's a 
problem forBraille readers, bookshare should be so notified. smile
