Did you, at any time, open this file in M$ Word? My suspicion is that the landscape/portrait settings got switched around. And considering that you 're using Kurzweil 1000 V 8, you're dealing with some odd RTF conversion issues. Kurzweil 1000 did not employ Word's own RTF conversion function. It had its own converter. Unless your computer is really old and you think that it won't support the newer version of Kurzweil 1000, I would highly recommend that you upgrade to V 11. The cost isn't any more to upgrade than it would be for a Kurzweil 1000 V 10 user. HTH. I am using Kurzweil eight. I notice when I am scanning paperbacks, using some paperback settings someone gave me, odd things happen. I'll try to explain it as best as I can. When I convert it to .rtf, then go back into Kurzie to edit, and read, the writing almost seems choppy, and when I arrow down, it appears that the letters in each word are vertical, not across the page. Because of this, the page numbering and breaks are all off. Does this even make sense and how do I fix it? It's really messing up some of my files.
