for reference when reading British books. I never knew
or imagined what the chips were in Fish & Chips
restaurants.
When my kids were little there was a wonderful kid's
program from Australia that used, of course, the
British terms, e.g., lift for elevator. I can't
remember what else, but I was sorry to see that it
didn't continue to be shown in the U.S. My kids could
have grown up to be bilingual (smile).
