I've approved and uploaded The Amazing Bone, a
Caldecott Honor book nicely scanned by Barbara W, who
kind enough to proofread and edit the descriptions for
me so that they are clear and not confusing (I will
never forget my goof in tryiing to describe the pole
carried by the tightrope walker in The Two Towers.)
The automatic Adult Rater is a bit crazy. Do you
remember a while back when it rated some of the
children's books that Shelley and I did as Adult?
This book was rated Adult--supposed had 38 words that
were profanity, violent or sexual , or .901 percent.
I can't imagine what--"fox?" pig?" "bone?" And yet
books that I rated in the past as Adult because of
profanity and violence I've been told should not be so
rated--just put a warning in the synopsis so people
know what they're getting.
Ah, well--that's why humans are better than computers
(smile).
