One way I solved the problem was to work in K1000 but I had changed the file from to rtf before editing. That way the K1000 program left the blank lines alone. Make the change in K1000. It also solves the problem of the virus programs reading .kes or .ose or whatever in Kurzweil as a virus. That caused my one file to be lost but there is a retrieval program in Kurzweil which will bring back your file as individual rtf files [1 file = 1 page]. There is a way to put those files together but either I did something wrong or my faulty windows interfered so I could not combine them. Talk to Nick. He is the wiz at Kurzweil if he is still there.
