Mayrie, That's a good reminder and gives a good perspective to the issue! Cat Lover Lori----- Original Message ----- From: "Mayrie ReNae" <mayrierenae@xxxxxxxxx>

Hi Julie, I have felt bad about asking repeatedly too. I don't know why, butbooks with this issue seem to arrive from my library in batches. Weird. But once, a sighted volunteer told me not to worry so much about asking for helpon such a small thing. What she said to me is that if she's going to thelibrary, then picking up one more book is no big deal. And for her it takes ten minutes to send me a list of chapter headings. She didn't think that itwas a huge job, unlike me, who felt as though I kept asking for too much help. So, maybe look at it this way? If no one wants to help, they won't offer. That way, you don't have to feel bad because no one's arm gottwisted. And if no one wants to help, well, at least the numbers are there.Just my thoughts. It was just the titles that didn't scan because of the font. I was thinking the same thing, but I guess I just felt bad because this is the second book in a row that I've done like that. Mayrie ReNae wrote:Hi Julie, I personally do not like it when a book is missing chapter titles. The simplest thing to do is to ask if anyone sighted can get a copy of thebook, then tell you on what page each chapter begins, and the name of the chapter. That way you kill two birds with one stone, you know exactlywherethe chapter titles should go, and what they should be. I just finished a book in which some of the chapters had titles that didn't scan because of font. Well, wouldn't you know it, I'm working on another one of the same type, where the numbers scanned but junk scanned where there might be titles. is this really important? My perfectionistic side screams that I need someone else to help with this book as well, but as long as I have the numbers, are the chapter titles really that important? I want my books to reflect the printed copy as much as I can, but two books in a row with the same problem...?<smile> Thanks for any feedback.
