Hi Ann,

I'm sorry to disagree with you, but I was instructed to make chapter
headings four points larger than the standard font size of the book. That
means that if my font size is 12, my chapters are at 16 point and my parts
are at 18. This is what Carrie told me to do, and it works for denoting
chapters by the converter. My understanding of what the converter needs to
denote a heading from the font is that it should be four points larger than
the general font of the book. If your general font size is 10, your way
works. If it's 12, it apparently doesn't, and is not what we have been
instructed to do numerous times.

Hi all,

Actually, Part I is supposed to be in header style 1 and Chapter 1 is in
header style 2. That means the parts are the biggest sections and the
chapters are the next section down. It is important to mark these headers
properly so that the DAISY converter can do its work. Header style 2 should
be in fourteen point not sixteen. In Word, it is very easy to accomplish
this by selecting the line and then adding the header style with alt-ctrl-1
through alt-ctrl-6.
