Just wondering: You said it's an Epson, but you got it from HP?

The neat thing about legal-sized scanners is that you can do two-page scanning of nearly all books on one. More and more of the publishers are standardizing now, and two-page scanning can be done on a letter-sized scanner for most books. What software are you using?

Hi Robert. It's the Epson Workforce gt1500, and yes, it can scan legal-sized
documents. Happy scanner hunting!

What kind of scanner did you buy, and is it letter- or legal-sized? I may
also be in the market for a new one.

Yikes! My scanner has suddenly died. It's thumping and scraping, and no one
repairs scanners. So this means I won't be able to scan or fix anything
anyone finds wrong with the books I've submitted without sighted help for
now. I just ordered a new scanner from Amazon, but it'll be about two weeks
at the most before it gets here since I chose free shipping. I guess this
explains why one of my books refuses to scan properly right now. Not cool.
