NO offense taken:-) Being in the computer world for a good 15 years now
things in many areas have improved where in others they haven't. Just like
validating scanning is something I think we all improve at over time. There
are so many variables in books and text quality some days I just want to
pull my hair out.

It's good to have you in our time stream again.
Just to be sure, I want to say that when I told you i understood the
complications of validating I didn't have any particular scanning brand in
mind as the culprit. I have never scanned anything so I don't have opinions
about different programs. I think they all miss or confuse something
occasionally. I'm a validator meaning I enjoy fixing things. When the
scanners become perfect, I'll be out of my favorite job. I'm sorry if I gave
the impression I was criticizing Kurzweil. I didn't mean to. I'm beholding
to all of the scanning hard and software and the people who use it.
