Cindy, I think it was a marvelous description. I noticed particularly the precise way you described the colors. It sounds like a very sad picture!

Thank you for your comments, Jackie. I don't know about the "talent for description," though. Sometimes, when I try to describe illustrations, I'm afraid I put in too much detail, and sometimes I think I'm too vague, or describing things in terms that someone born blind won't know what I'm talking about--or make assumptions. I'll never forget that when I answered a question about the Man Who Walked Between the Towers, I said that he held the pole perpendicular to the tightrope wire, forgetting that that could mean two different things. Fortunately, Shelley came to the rescue. smile Cindy --- Jackie McBride <abletec@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:Thanks, Grandma Cindy, it did help immensely. It's always nice when some1 takes their eyesight, desire to share, & a talent for description & uses it to help those of us not blessed w/the eyesight component of the equation. I do hope u both know & feel that those of us who are sight-impaired on list appreciate it--more than we say & more than we *can* say. Blessings.
