Thanks, Mayrie. Based on my own failures at scanning books with sidebars, I wonder if the book would come out any better, even if the submitter rescans it. When I was on this list a couple of years ago, someone posted some tips for scanning books with sidebars, which I tried to follow. I still ended up with sidebars being split up and scattered on the page. I'm hoping that I can find a print copy of this book, and that the task of fixing the sidebars will turn out to be less overwhelming than I originally thought. I may as well get used to fixing them, since I mostly scan nonfiction, and am likely to keep running into them. G!
