Dear Cindy and Booksharian Friends,

A dentist held me hostage four hours confined to a recliner today so I'm too tired to be writing this, but the time has come for us to get serious about getting serious, like Sue and Larry about scanning books for Christmas.

I'll be validating the books below

Tiffany Jesse has scanned Kissing Christmas Goodbye by ME. C. Beaton for old and new fans of the silly Agatha Raisin series . I'll have This cozy mystery ready for the collection by Friday morning. From my perspective this book is a Ho!! Ho!

Mayrie Renee will be Scanning Sammy Keyes and the Christmas Elf and another book called Christmas Ghost with a different author.from The Christmas Ghost we had approved a few days ago.

Anastasia will be helping with
Felicity's Surprise A Christmas Story Book 3 Ann American Girl Collection
Laura's Christmas Star by Klaus Baumgart, a lovely picture book
Kristen's Surprise the American Girls collection, where we see the little girl carrying out the Swedish tradition of being Saint Lucy

A Country Christmas by Bonnie Lou Risby ages 6-9
Franklin's Christmas Gift by Paulette Bourgeois RL 2 ages 47 Pretty read aloud picture book. Franklin is a turtle who appears in about 20 books in a series featuring him.

for adults and for adults to share with kids.
The Christmas Cat Isabelle Holland oversized pretty picture book about the meaning of Christmas can become a family tradition.

Here are some books that I'd be oh so grateful if anyone could quickly find at their libraries and scan and hold for me to validate. I bought them for full price from one of the major bookstores before Christmas last year hoping I'd find willing scanners.

My first choice Shrouds of Holly by Kate Kingsbury, a Christmas mystery for adults 288 paperback. Blue Christmas by Mary Kay Anderson author of Savannah Breeze, Says it's a New York Times best seller...maybe we have this one already Oxford Book of Christmas Stories , Not for the faint of heart but the scanner with a heart for reading

Christmas Wisdom Criswell Freeman, I'll need a validator for this collection of Christmas witticisms

The Last Noel by Heather Graham. it says tis the season to be terrified and shows blood on the snow. 337 short pages Ooo I can't wait to validate this I hope somebody's library has it.

Here's a book which should be easy to scan and wouldn't need to be finished by Christmas as it talks about holiday legends and customs from the New Year through Christmas. I'd have a ball validating this one since I love holidays. The book is called Holidays of legend from New Years to Christmas by Mildred H. Arthur. The Oxford Book of Christmas Poems. I'd do the formatting. I'd even scan, but many of the poems are on busy backgrounds and have haphazard placement on the pages. Oh My I want to read this book and make it lovely for everyone else to read. The Night The Stars Sang The Wonder That Is Christmas An oversized hardback of heart warming songs and stories This is a lovely book told with respect and faith.

Christmas the World Over How the Season of Joy and Goodwill is Observed and enjoyed by peoples here and everywhere by Daniel J. Foley This might not be too difficult for a blind submitter. It's got gobs of customs from places like Venezuela, Ireland and Scotland, of course, France, Italy, and Puerto Rico.

At Christmas Time a Treasury for the festive season Poems, stories and songs, known and unknown, much of it in large print and a treasure for a family to share at Christmas. gaily colorful. Recipes and customs, too. If you are romantic of heart, go to the last page and build yourself a kissing bush with 2 large wreaths, red ribbon, and a sprig of holly and and the holiday romance will flow!

Finally the last book, until i find more, is A Year Goes Round poems for the months. Here's another one, by Karen B. Winnick, which doesn't have to be ready for Christmas as it can be taken up at any time. It's an overlarge picture book with very short poems many of them only 8 short lines long like My Shadow, Disguises , Parade, Welcome back, City Summer, Sand Picture, first snow. We may be able to manage this one without help because the poems seem to be at the bottoms of pages, but the backgrounds are busy so I'm not sure if scanners can capture all of them. I love reading clear poems and formatting them.

As long as you can find some of these books, are willing to put them on the fast tractk and will kindly save them for me, I promise to clear my queue and validate for Christmas day and night.

We can expect some swapping around with this list and some adding and removing books. It can only evolve even better than it already promises to be and that's a Merry Christmas Wow!

When I was sad, I could feel reverent at Christmas. Since being involved with Bookshare has brought so much love and friendship in to my life, I'm about ready to relocate to The North Pole by way of Bethlehem!

Always with love,

Lissi
Jared's Gift by Marguerite Vance, 42 pages long. I have 2 so who ever will scan and hold this one for me can keep the book I send you to scan. A Christian will probably like working on this book best. Guinness book of Christmas by Tom Hartman. This would be so much fun, but because it has pictures and columns and dark writing on dark background, I suspect a sighted submittor would have the best of luck with this one, but it would be such fun to read, a different take on Christmas from the other books in this list. I wish Santa would send us an elf to do a little scanning for our Christmas books.

Other Christmas books which would probably be most easily managed by sighted scanners are
