1995 is not in a different font. If it was, I would have changed it anyway.
In a book that Vivian scanned for me, she put the words rat-a-tat in another
font, italics, I think, and JAWS kept reading it in German. Everything in
the book after that page was read in German; it took about a week on the
phone with Freedom Scientific to try to find out what was going wrong. No
thanks to them, I never figured it out but the problem still exist whenever
JAWS encounters such a problem. And for that, I just change the font to
whatever font, usually Times New Roman, I'm using for the book. I decided to
put everything on one line separated with a ':' and leave at that. This
method has worked for me so far and none of the books I submitted have been
rejected because of it. It was just that there were 2 chapter headings
instead of 1 but the year needs to be there because it is significant to the
storyline of the book. Netta
