Alison and I walked a later than usual front field circle after the morning
rain all got here. As we passed middle pond, 3 Wood Ducks took off. I didn’t
see them on the water before they took to the air. They could have been hidden
behind one of several sedge covered hummocks along the dike. When the front
came through this morning, the temperature quickly dropped from 70 to 45
degrees.
