At approximately 1:35 p.m. this afternoon, David Roemer spotted 2 Whooping
Cranes in a flock of about 125 Sandhill Cranes. The birds flew relatively
low over Port Oliver boat ramp for about 3 to 5 minutes, then we watched
the birds thermal up and over Barren River Lake dam and head north. Cecelia
or southern Indiana might be a good place to look late this afternoon or
tomorrow morning.
