Okay, okay, I will go buy one. I need the bigger pictures, but what
would really help in identification is bigger slower birds.

I couldn't resist the purchase yesterday. Images are crisper, maps
bigger and with better detail (including habitat/bird finding
descriptions). Numerous species accounts have more/improved angle
drawings. He shows better attention to comparing details of similar
species. Overall, he improves on things I thought previously Peterson
did better w/o an increase in the size of book. Of note, he has included
countless new rarities (most of which have only occured once or twice in
North America). I'm not necessarily a rarity-phile, but I know some are.

David Sibley has released his 2nd edition with more birds and larger
pictures.

Sounds like a must have.
