Dr. Thor Hanson is a conservation biologist and the author of "Feathers: The
Evolution of a Natural Miracle," which won the John Burroughs Medal, was
nominated for The Samuel Johnson
Prize, and received the AAAS/Subaru SB&F Prize and a Pacific Northwest
Booksellers Award. He is a Switzer Environmental
Fellow and member of the Human Ecosystems Study Group. His many media
appearances have included NPR's Fresh Air, PRI's The World, and The
Current on CBC.
Copies of Dr. Hanson's books are available at The Morris Book Shop, 882 E High
Street in Lexington. A limited number of copies (provided by
Carmichael's Bookstore of Louisville) will be available for purchase at
the event.
