Joe Swanson and I headed out to Shaker Village to get a little preview of our
scheduled outing coming up this Saturday, July 14. We will meet in the parking
lot by Great Harvest Bread Co. in Palomar Shopping Center in Lexington at 7:30
AM for a prompt departure to Shaker Village.
We had most of the expected birds, but did miss Blue Grossbeak, Dickcissal &
Grasshopper Sparrow. Some of the fields where we had seem them before had just
been mowed. We did get good looks at Red-headed Woodpecker, Summer Tanager and
an Eastern Wood-Pewee on a nest.
