I had some luck seeing the comet out here in Scott County. We are NW of
Lexington, so a decent dark sky in the NW for us. Managed some shots of the
comet as well as Saturn, Jupiter and the Big Dipper. Check the link if
interested.

You had better luck than we did...we found a nice open piece of unlit sky in
the country two nights ago, but the cloud bank was just high enough to obscure
the comet and the space station. Jupiter and Saturn were worth the trip, though.
We'll try again if the clouds move out.

Subject: [birdky] Night viewing ...
Happened to call Brian Wulker awhile ago as he was on his way to a viewing spot
for Comet Neowise, which I had sort of completely forgotten about past couple
of days. Louisville and Cincy cleared this afternoon with very unhazy sky only
obscured by a few high waves of cirrus clouds at sunset.
A couple of my cousins stopped by the farm, and we got surprisingly nice views
of the Comet from 10:00 - 10:30 pm. It is to the northwest, so not a ton of
light pollution here in the northeast part of the county.
Right at 10:00 pm, the International Space Station made a VERY bright pass
almost directly overhead; it had to be in view for more than five minutes.
We finished off the evening with nice scope views of Jupiter and Saturn.
Oh ... and as far as birds, a young Great Horned Owl was screeching the whole
time.
