Conditions *right now* look favorable for viewing tonight. If anyone in
Louisville wants to come over to the farm about 930-1000, we had nice views of
it from 1000 to 1030 last night. It will "set" not too long after that.
We were looking from where most typically park when they come to see a bird on
the farm, somewhere near the horse trailer at the second group of barns.

You had better luck than we did...we found a nice open piece of unlit sky in
the country two nights ago, but the cloud bank was just high enough to obscure
the comet and the space station. Jupiter and Saturn were worth the trip,
though.
We'll try again if the clouds move out.

Happened to call Brian Wulker awhile ago as he was on his way to a viewing
spot for Comet Neowise, which I had sort of completely forgotten about past
couple of days. Louisville and Cincy cleared this afternoon with very unhazy
sky only obscured by a few high waves of cirrus clouds at sunset.
A couple of my cousins stopped by the farm, and we got surprisingly nice views
of the Comet from 10:00 - 10:30 pm. It is to the northwest, so not a ton of
light pollution here in the northeast part of the county.
Right at 10:00 pm, the International Space Station made a VERY bright pass
almost directly overhead; it had to be in view for more than five minutes.
We finished off the evening with nice scope views of Jupiter and Saturn.
Oh ... and as far as birds, a young Great Horned Owl was screeching the whole
time.
