25 April 2004: While returning home from KOS and my Grandmother's 90th birthday party in Southern Illinois, I noticed a small group of migrant shorebirds in Logan County, about 3 miles west of Russellville in a wet field. This wet field is near mile maker 5 and on the south side of the road. Present were: About 20 Lesser Yellowlegs, 2 Greater Yellowlegs, About 5 Solitary Sandpipers, and 3 Pectoral Sandpipers. A lone Killdeer made 5 species of common shorebirds at this site. That concludes this brief report.
