Subject: Ecoregional checklists in Texas now on-line

Ecoregional bird checklists in Texas (by Bird Conservation Region [BCR]) are
now available online as PDF files on the Texas Parks and Wildlife
Department's web site. Within the Lone Star State, these checklists use
ecoregional boundaries and not political ones. The site is available here:
http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/nature/birding/partners_in_flight/checklists/
<http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/nature/birding/partners_in_flight/checklists/>

Two BCRs are not completed yet (South Texas Brushlands and Coastal
Prairies), but the remainder in Texas can be found at the above site.
Adjacent states that share BCRs might find these helpful. To my knowledge,
this is the first stab at such a project in North America. It is intended
for a broad audience from landowners to birdwatchers to conservation
planners and more.

Enjoy,
