I haven't participated in Cornell's Great Backyard Bird Count before but had to this year so I could count Jeeves. Only had one picture to choose from to put with yesterday's ebird report and today didn't start out much better. Jeeves made one quick appearance long enough for a poor photo in the hour I sat before lunch. Right after I came out of the canopy, a male Eastern Towhee appeared. It disappeared before I could reset my scope, then Jeeves reappeared, but not long enough for a picture. Had better luck this afternoon. The Towhee came out again and fed behind Corn Rock, bobbing its head into view every so often. While trying to catch the Towhee with its head up, Jeeves came out long enough for several pictures. Also captured him with Mourning Doves for the first time and drinking water for the first time. 4 new pics here - https://www.flickr.com/photos/123438032@N04/ Frank Lyne frank@xxxxxxxxxxx - near Dot in Logan County, KY ================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBERS============= When posting on BIRDKY, please close posts with your first and last name and your address (city or county). * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To post on BIRDKY, send e-mail to: birdky@xxxxxxxxxxxxx * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the KOS website at http://www.birdky.org * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the KOS Photo Page to view photos of birds recently sighted in Kentucky: http://www.flickr.com/groups/kentucky_ornithological_society/pool * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To unsubscribe, send e-mail to: birdky-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject line. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * BIRDKY List Manager: Gary Ritchison.
