Yesterday 14 birders, a mixed group of Buchanan County Bird Club members,
Russell County Bird Club members and Bibbee Nature Club members, spent the day
birding the beautiful Burkes Garden in Tazewell County.
We found 28 bird species including Bald Eagles, Golden Eagles, Rough-legged
Hawk, Northern Shrike and a Red-headed Woodpecker.
The group enjoyed the day and the fun of birding together in spite of the cool
temperatures and constant winds.
