Hey Sam, great contribution to the "documenting of the event"! Relating to viewing Venus during the daytime, if you don't mind, please post your images of that, too, after processing. Would love to see them. Were you able to clearly discern Venus by naked eye, or were you referring to the view obtained using your 300mm? I've not observed Venus during the day, but have always heard that it's quite easy if the position is plotted with some precision.
