 Tom:

It would likely be something on the West side of rt347,
so my two guesses are Harrah's Casino or the High School
in Maricopa. From my rides home, the worst light source I
have seen is that #$%@!* Concrete plant on the east side
of the road between Maricopa and Firebird raceway, closer
to the raceway, almost up near Riggs Rd. Huge fixtures,
Halogen or some kind of way-too-purple arc lighting for a
structure that clearly does not operate 24/7. The cotton gin
and warehouse near that spot are pretty bad too.

I'm surprised APOD didn't take the picture Joe took on Sat.
night with a foreground cactus while we were all setting up
for our evening. The only light source Saturday was Mr, Redneck
and his pickemup truck who puposely scanned the observing area
with his headlights and having not gotten enough of a selfishness
rush, fired a handful of bottle rockets into the observing field.
He's lucky we are very understanding and friendly types- within
 limits.

Included in the frame is a glaring example of upward-directed lighting that
I recognize from my drives to Vekol. Does anybody (Steve Dodder, perhaps?)
know what it is?
