Thanks, Brian. I am saddened to hear that vandals would hit such a place, but glad that steps were taken to preserve the site. About 20 years ago it was vandalized with the effect that one or two of the tiles were broken. At the time there were several artists renting workshop space on Mars Hill, one of whom was (and still is) an expert stained-glass artist. She got the right kind fo glass to replace the broken tiles. But the aging metal framework for the stained glass was also starting to allow rain/snow to leak onto Uncle Percy underneath. So it was decided to have made the frame to go over it (hard plastic or something like lucite) to help protect it from the elements as well as vandals. \Brian -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list. -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list.
