[AZ-Observing] Lloyd Horton

Hi All-
I heard yesterday that long-time Phoenix Astronomical Society member Lloyd
Horton died the other night of pancreatic cancer. He had just turned 72 on
Monday... I only met him once about a month ago, and even though he was quite
sick then, his eyes sparkled and he had loads of stories about polishing,
making, and using telescopes. He seemed quite the friendly sort (aren't we
all!), I only wish I had known him for a few decades... His daughter Laurie,
from Ohio, informs me that services will be Monday morning (1 November)
at 10am
at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary.
