Well, if it will make you feel any better, we traipsed about 250 miles up to Second Mesa for an eighth grader star party in the clouds. It did clear up after most of the students had left however, and rained all the next day. Some got to see a hazy Jupiter or Saturn, Pleiades and Orion Nebula, M35, M81 and M82. It cleared from the west and then completely by 11. Thanks to Jennifer Keller, Diane Hope, Lynn Blackburn, Joe Goss, and Padraig (pronounce Patrick) Houlihan. We were presented Bright Star Atlases by Sally Oey, thank you so much. Don't feel bad about the weather, I think everybody at least saw something and the talk by Padraig was worth the trip in itself!
