Is the line there when you print preview the document? And is the line
present when it is printed into an Adobe pdf file?

Subject: atw: Word Problem...possible incompatibility issue with Word
2003/2007

G'day!

I have got a Word document that I have opened in both version of Word
2003 and 2007. In Word 2007, I saved the document as a 2003 compatible
document so no worries there... but when I opened it in either version
after that, the document suddenly acquired a line across the base of the
footer area in the document. It resides neither in the footer nor in the
document. I am unable to select it or highlight it, nor is there a
hidden table all the rest..

This unprofessional looking document from the company's technical writer
has to be presented to management soonish and try as I might I am unable
to correct this problem, even when investigating every footer in every
section of the document, and ensuring that link to previous is disabled.

Any clues, suggestions etc.. (without telling me to bin this lovely 31
page document :-)).

Thanks,

Nikki
