A round-table what??? The term 'round-table' was ALWAYS an adjective describing a type of meeting or discussion where all member were allegedly equal. Round-table discussion Round-table meeting As such, how can 'round table' exist as a noun without being declared as slang or an abbreviation? I mean, if I say I'm havening a "round-table" with Freddy, it means I'm having a round-table discussion OR a round-table meeting, depending on the activity. In either case, surely this is an abbreviation (I have NO dictionary references here). Grammar gurus, I know you are out there ... please help ... And a pox and a curse on you Mr. Collins.
