First a question:

How do you think the new C++ standard will impact game programming? Thanks
in advance for any insights.

My interest in this group originally was to learn about game programming
using OpenGL but I have learned a whole lot more.

I suspect the group has been quiet because people are out there playing the
new games they developed.

Thank you very much Bob, you have been an inspiration.

ps. I re-subscribed to this group last week because I thought I was dropped
off the list. I guess it was just quiet.

Interest in this group faded out a while ago and there have been zero
messages on the list for over a year. OTOH, people keep signing up for the
list, so there must be some interest out there. What do people want from
this list?

Folks, if you are interested enough to join the list, please tell us what
you are looking for from the list. With luck we can get an active community
going here again. If people want to start having face to face meetings again
we can do that, but not on Saturday afternoons at ACC. AFAIK no one on the
list is associated with ACC any more and the Saturday afternoon meetings
didn't work out very well anyway. The more active groups I'm in meet in the
evening at a bar with good food and better beer. :-)

So, seriously people, if you want something from this list, ask questions
and post answers.
