[artworks] Importing Drawfiles containing text

I use !Tablemate for compiling tables, which I then export as a
Drawfile. They always load into !Draw with no problem, but when
importing said Drawfile to !ArtWorks (2.X1.00) I always get the same
error: "Text object found with an incorrect length. Will try and cope
with it." Then repeatedly pressing the OK button until the object
appears, with a lot of the text missing. It seems that after a while
!ArtWorks seems to give up. I remember several years ago mention was
made of this problem, but can't seem to find a cure for it.

Anybody got any suitable solutions?
