Subject: [argyllcms] Argyll v4 compliance and 10bitsupport
From: =?ISO-8859-1?Q?Andr=E9s_Vattuone?= <andres.vattuone@xxxxxxxxx>

1) Is there any news about the upgrade to v4 color management? If not, what
bad can the compatibility issues be and how do you handle them?
2) Does it have 10 bit support and to what extend? If not, are there plans
to improve it?

To 2) ArgyllCMS creates profiles with virtual 16-bit precission. What is more important is the used CMM to interpolate in the requested precission. E.g. using ArgyllCMS generated ICC device profiles in Krita, a drawing application, make perfect sense. CompICC, a desktop colour server, runs inside the Compiz compositing window manager supports 16-bit OpenGL textures and uses the lcms CMM. These are all working great together.

kind regards
