WDC is holding its Annual Assembly at the Lakeview Camp and Conference Center near Waxahachie, Texas, about 3 hours north of Austin. We are looking for a couple of delegates from the congregation to represent AMC at the WDC Annual Assembly. There is lodging at the conference center and 8 miles away in Waxahachie. The assembly is an opportunity to learn about the wider church and connect with Mennonites from Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska. The theme this year is "God With Us - Patient and Persistent." Agenda at the assembly will be worship, workshops, delegate sessions, and an overview of WDC. A resolution allowing congregations and pastors more freedom in ministry, especially with the lgbt folks, will be presented to delegates for discussion only. The plan will be to make take action at the 2015 assembly in Kansas City. - www.lakeviewcamp.net - http://mennowdc.org/conference-life/annual-assembly/ Contact Pastor Lee or Moderator Steve Hochstetler if you are interested in attending or being a delegate. Pastor Lee will be traveling to Waxahachie on Thursday morning, July 3, and returning on July 6, Sunday. *Lee Lever, Pastor* *Austin Mennonite Church* AustinMennonite.org
