Debbie -- you have got good responses to your problem.  As your machine is
new (I think), this might not be the problem, but one other place to look is
the tension feed rollers.  They should be "clean" and smooth.  If they have
warn a grove in the  roller, this can cause the thread to loose some
tension.  You m ight check.  One tech told me that the feed rollers should
be changed every 4 to 6 months.   Don't know if this is necessary, but
checking never hurts.
