[amayausers] Re: Thread breakage

Don't forget about the thread. Change your thread to a known new spool.
Thread is susceptible to breakdown caused by a few things: sun light,
humidity or moisture, age, overspray of adhesives, etc... Also keep in mind
threads go through a "process" when colored. White is "bleached" and may be
the weakest of colors. Cheap brands make cheap thread - stick with a
reputable name. And it IS possible to simply have a spool (or section of
spool) from a "Bad Batch".
Also, I agree with the position of the needle theory. Make sure the long
groove down the shaft of the needle is in the front. Every slight turn,
rotation, and placement in the needle bar (needle depth) of the needle plays
a major part in the formation of each stitch.
I recently serviced a machine where they were trying to use something other
than embroidery needles in their machine because, "that's what they had
lying around the shop". Training is so important.
I'll ask this too. Is the shredding only on one needle?

Subject: [amayausers] Thread breakage

I am having a reoccurring problem with the thread breaking just above the
needle. The threads actually shreds. I have worked my way down the list in
the
manuel over and over again including changing needles and being sure my
needle
is appropriate for the fabric. Help?
