My NEW 4-month old Amaya XT has intermittently started making a loud hammering
noise when the thread grabber moves backward after a thread cut. I saw the
thread grabber once when this happened and it shook violently midpoint between
its extreme front and back positions where the threads are caught) just in
front of the needles.

At first I thought it was being obstructed by something but it wasn't. This is
with the regular hoops (not the slimline brackets or the cap driver--haven't
tried those yet since this started happening).

It doesn't happen all the time. So far less than 3% of the time, but it has
happened more than 10 times now. The other 97% of the time, it works okay.

Can anyone please let me know if there is something I can do? I have completed
all the maintenance and oiled this thing religiously. Hopefully it is just
something else I haven't oiled and not a repair job, although it should still
be under warranty. It has a Z Run Time of 127:44:28 and Z Axis Rotations of
69,869,703.

Thanks,
Ed ROux
