Dear Ron, Ed and rest of list. Ron wins this one. We followed his
directions of adding more oil to the 2 million step maintance and let it
set while we went to dinner. She has been working wonderful ever since.
I do appreciate all of the input and Ed's suggestions have been saved
for the next time. Margaret

This sounds exactly like what happened to me.
It sounded like the bearing was going bad that
would run the rod that spins the bobbin.
couldn't locate it exactly.
Turned out by going through it on the phone
with a tech and he had me run about thirty
drops of oil in the reservoir on the left side of the v-rail
(don't remember what maintenance timer that on is)
and after 5 minutes of soaking in the noise went away and
had never returned. He explained that is why they changed
the maintenance to reflect the extra oiling instead of the
9 or 10 we had been doing.
Don't get me wrong we do our requested maintenance
diligently but this still happened.
So a little extra oil couldn't hurt.
By the way, after the machine sat overnight or even
a few hours the sound would go away or at least
die way down, which even confused us more.
until we realized that the oil that was there had a chance
to lubricate the now non moving parts.

Techs are great!!!
Try it and let us know.

Alan and Margaret, I had something similar happen a while ago. On mine,
it turned out the nuts that hold the arms that hold the hoops were
loose. I hope yours is as quick and easy!
